Maltas Culture

Most people will book a trip to Malta because they hope to find sunshine, beaches and the Mediterranean atmosphere there, as well as tranquillity and relaxation. The small island, however, has much more to offer than that. In other words: “Culture, culture, culture!” Whether you are looking for prehistoric catacombs or temples, museums that feature art, archaeology, shipping and the ancient world, or a high-tech multimedia show presenting the entire history of the archipelago – Malta can give you all of it.

In Malta, everything is a little bit smaller than in other cultural metropolises, such as Paris, Berlin, London or New York, and it is in this ‘smaller’ way that people (especially those who don’t go to museums regularly) can get a short and interesting impression of Malta’s 7000-year history.

On our website, we have compiled a short “culture trip” for you. It is meant to help you to find your way through the culture of the Mediterranean island. For those who would like to learn more about Malta’s past, an overview of many more interesting museums and sites is available.

Have fun on your journey of discovery through 7000 years of history!
