Temples Hagar Qim and Mnajdra

Hagar Qim

Maltese Stone Age temple on the steep coast in the South

After you have learnt about the history of Malta in the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta, you can then admire the temples of Hagar Qim and Mnajdra, which are the most beautiful and well-preserved temples on Malta. While walking around the exterior of the temples, you can see the interior through the many openings. Turning around, you have a stunning view of the sea, and if the weather is clear, you can see all the way to the small island of Filfla (which is a nature reserve and bird sanctuary). Both temples belong to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites in Malta.

Duration approximately 60 minutes (for both temples).
