Fähre in Valletta auf Malta

Malta is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, which means it can only be reached from the European mainland by aeroplane or by boat/ferry. One of the ferry services to Malta leaves from Genoa in Italy and runs via Palermo.

As Malta consists of three different islands (Malta itself, Gozo and Comino), numerous ferry connections between the islands exist. They are as follows: from Cirkewwa (far north of Malta) to Mgarr (Gozo), from Sa Maison (near Valletta) to Mgarr (Gozo) and between Cirkewwa (Malta) or Mgarr (Gozo) to Comino (a small, uninhabited island between Malta and Gozo).
