Due to the summer heat and the non-existent ground water on Malta, Maltese wines are unique. In general, they are dry and tangy.
Winemaking is very widespread in Malta, so there are many wine farms. The three largest are Marsovin, Delicata and Camilleri and they offer a large variety of wines.
Marsovin, Emmanuel Delicata and Meridiana, among others, offer wine tours.

Most wine farms also offer tours on the farm, wine tasting and even events. Every year, Delicata Winery organises a three-day wine festival in Nadur on Gozo.
Some of these yummy wines cost only between three and nine Euros in shops.
Even though there are only 10 km of sea between Gozo and Malta, there are massive differences between the two islands when it comes to wine. The wines from Gozo are very fruity and sweet. Unlike Malta, Gozo has ground water and so the wines are supplied with more of it.
Whether white, red or rose, whether from Malta or Gozo, the wines are delicious. It’s best to enjoy them on a hot summer night by the sea, or in a restaurant with fresh fish or a traditional Maltese dish.
Some of these wines are exported to Europe. You can also order liquors, oils, beers and non-alcoholic drinks from Malta online.
