Republic Street in Valletta on Malta

Valletta is probably the best place to go shopping (beside Sliema), as it has plenty of shops and shopping centres. The main road is packed with shops, mainly jewellers. A visit to the city is a must, not only for shopping, but also for the unique experience. A lot of people walk on the main road between 8 am and 12 pm, but during the siesta from 12 pm to 3 pm, the streets are empty. Afterwards, they fill again until 7 pm, when all the shops close and, in just a few minutes, the main road clears. There are only a few shops off the main road. However, it is worth walking around in Valletta, as you will discover something new on every corner.
