Blue Grotto

Blue Grotto

The Blue Grotto is situated near the town of Wied iz-Zurrieq, in the southwest of Malta. Its best to explore it using one of the available boat trips. On these tours, you’ll actually ride into some of the grottos. The clear, turquoise water looks amazing, when it reflects the sunlight. With two entrances, and at a height of 30 metres and a length of 90 metres, the Blue Grotto is the largest grotto in the area.

Alternatively, you can also walk along the steep cliff and enjoy a stunning view from there, but it is not the same as being on a boat. You can walk all the way to the edge, but be careful – there is no laid-out path or railing, making it unsuitable for children.

Nonetheless, definitively worth a visit!
