Grand Harbour in Malta

The Grand Harbour is Malta’s largest and most important harbour. It is in fact the largest harbour in the entire Mediterranean region and one of the largest natural harbours in the world. In addition to the long wharfs, used for container ships and other cargo vessels, a new quay for cruisers has been recently built. It is located right behind the large quay wall that was built by Grand Master Manuel Pinto de Fonseca. The natural harbour separates Valletta from the Three Cities of Cottonera.
